Kristie brings 15 years of experience in pet care to Parker Pet Clinic, along with her certification as a Veterinary Technician and Fear Free certifications in avian, canine, and feline medicine, plus RESCUE certification. Exotic animal medicine has been a lifelong passion for her — she’s worked with exotics and wildlife in some capacity for as long as she can remember, and she’s especially drawn to birds, with hedgehogs a close second. Like Dr. Parker, she has a soft spot for pigs too.
As Lead CVT, Kristie is dedicated to making exotic veterinary medicine more accessible, both for the clients who walk through the door and the vet techs she mentors along the way. She takes real pride in supporting her team as they grow their skills and in helping the clinic practice gold-standard medicine for every kind of pet, furry, scaly, feathery, or slimy.
Outside the clinic, Kristie is an avid reader (mostly fantasy), a hiker of Florida’s nature trails, and a well-traveled adventurer who has visited 22 countries. She plays multiple instruments, never turns down a good day at Disney or Universal, and collects Pokémon cards and comic books in her spare time. She also has a soft spot for trailing plants like string of hearts and string of turtles. Her favorite animal at the moment? The American Kestrel.
