Dr. Taylor Parker is the founder and lead veterinarian of Parker Pet Clinic. Her path into exotic medicine came from a simple observation: pets that weren't dogs or cats were too often treated as an afterthought, even though their owners loved them just as fiercely. That didn't sit right with her, and it's shaped everything about how she built this practice.
With advanced training in exotic animal medicine and surgery alongside years of experience in general dog and cat care, Dr. Parker brings a rare breadth of expertise to Tampa Bay. Pigs are her favorite patients, and she's built much of her career around their medical and surgical care, both as beloved house pets and farm animals. She's equally at home treating birds, reptiles, rabbits, and small mammals, bringing the same standard of care to every species that walks through the door.
Exotic care matters to Dr. Parker because these animals can't advocate for themselves in a system that wasn't originally built with them in mind.
